I’m fairly certain Pimax is going to do another wow attempt and send these 20 units to youtubers who may or may not receive a faulty unit to review while the whole of Pimax crew goes on vacation.

Hey @SweViver when I first read your response to my comment I interpreted it as “the soft strap will come in the box even after the MAS releases” but reading your response now it seems cryptic. I would like to restate the question in a different way if you don’t mind. Here we go…

I understand that the 8KX and 8K+ are currently/initially shipping with the soft strap.

I understand that the MAS isnt released yet. Hence why the 8KX/8K+ are shipping with the soft strap.

In the future, when my 8KX gets to me, it will probably be AFTER the MAS releases.

My understanding is that the headset would come with the MAS on it and not the soft strap following MAS release.

My question is, will the soft strap be included with a post MAS release 8KX and not just the MAS?

It is likely to come with the soft strap even after MAS released to keep it simple.

The new packaging is much more compact which works for other skus like 5k+/XR and Artisan.

As you make a choice between Standard MAS and Deluxe for Vision headsets makes sense to have a separate box to keep it simple.

Hey, so are you an 8k backer who downgraded to the 5K+ and then upgraded to the 8KX via the upgrade programme?

Does that mean we get to keep our $100 downgrade coupon? (makes sense I suppose as that wasn’t a Kickstarter stretch-goal, it was a discount for switching to the 5K+).

If so that’s awesome.

Nope, I backed both the 8KX and the 8K at the time, then downgraded the latter to 5K+. Sorry, no extra gifts from Pimax here, but if I look at what I got and will get out of my investment, still quite a good deal so no complaints here.
