I see (yet) another problem coming…weren’t the plastic hinges structurally weaker and more likely to suffer from stress points, and that’s why they were replaced with metal ones?
Ideally Pimax, please also send me redesigned metal hinges that work as intended when they are ready…

Hi, I am right in that case, and for me the audio strap must be bent down to a bigger angle for my head. So please, could you arrange the shipping of new hinges to lower the angle of my headstrap in the back of my head ?

Moreover, I received my 8KX with the thin face foam, and as I’m wearing glasses, I absolutly need the thicker one to avoid my glasses to touch lenses of th headset.

Please don’t let this be an empty promise that Pimax backtracks on, without saying anything.
SO6011 - asking for hinges with higher angle as well, with the existing ones it is almost unusable except perhaps for seated experience.
Btw. is there any video that shows how they can be replaced?

I kindly ask again, as others other did without a reply: please give us/upload the 3d printable model of the plastic hinge! Many of us have a 3D printer and would like to print it prior to receiving the 8kX (for me it should arrive in 3 days allready) so we can enjoy the headset like expected from the very beginning instead of having to wait weeks (months?) to get the sent. It saves you the shipping costs and -what should be an even greater reason for Pimax to do so - makes your backers/customers happy . that would be what a good customer service one expects after the company made a fault in the first place. It would have been even a better customer service if Pimax did so without request.
I admire the service provided by @Teigue who tries to design this printable hinge on his own, but it seems he is still adjusting while you/Pimax has the EXACT plastic hinge design. I think, we shouldn´t have to file or adjust someone other design while Pimax can save as time to do what 8kX is made for - enjoy it in VR from the very beginning.
If you /Pimax refuses to give as such 3d model, I am kindly asking for the explanation of the exact reasons.
