Ticket number #3028 - package lost according to UPS - 8KX

This has become an issue with Fedex in the US as well seems like the drivers or handlers have found an extra source of income(I believe its the drivers because I had 3 parcels disappear since oct 19)with false tracking (I stayed home) and falsified signatures before covid)Theyve deduced the addresses with which contain valuable content,its seems law enforcement would get involved but I doubt it over cartage theft,but it has become more and more widespread recently.Ive never had an issue with DHL or UPS just Fedex ,Ive put up cameras for when I am forced to use Fedex

I’m not racist in the least, but you’re right. We got a new driver. Next few months there is stuff missing from nearly every shipment after that. Missing boxes that would never arrive at all but show as delivered. We live in a rural area. No one can see our house from the road. Its the drivers stealing stuff. When the regular driver was re-assigned back to our area. Boom. no more missing boxes or shipments. But its Time people owned this new truth. Some Fedex and UPS drivers think they can steal anything you buy and have them ship. I always file claims and even now send in pics of the drivers. Had a FedEx manager come to my house because I also do lots of outbound business related shipping. It was after I showed him camera footage and surveillance that he reassigned (or fired) not sure which, the last thieving driver. He said I was not the only one in his route who ‘suddenly’ started having items missing. They need to do background checks.

Prior experience and staistics play big part in that. Same as you will judge person by the looks/clothes. Such judgement might be wrong but is based on prior experience.

Just want to point out that with Fedex at least, ALL liability is on the customer during covid 19 complications. They will not cover lost or stolen packages.

To me, this basically forces me to use amazon. They WILL sign for you, and that is not illegal as it would have been. That is standard practice due to social distancing. They literally threw a 2,200 dollar laptop without signature under my dripping window AC unit last week, I had to rush home from work as I live on a busy street and it was right out in the open.

Amazon up here(Canada) often just drops packages off even without signatures even prior to Covid.
