Ok, So i have a RTX 5090 and razen 9 3d with 64bg 6400mz. for the life of me i have been getting stutters still in DCS. DCS is what i mainly play so that is my reference. i just learned that RAM might not be set right in the bios and not performing as fast as it should. Sure enough in th bios setting the RAM was runing at 4300mhz because the setting was at auto.

So, check your Bios and make sure your RAM is running at the speed its suppose too.

- under AI-tweaker, there is a setting found in Ai Overclock Tuner. Change it if it says auto to EXPO or manual. if you can only set it to manual than do so, and set the RAM speed in the next setting.
- now run CPU-z and click on the memory tab. see what your settings are running. For me my RAM is 6400mhz so the settings should show 3199.2Mhz on the DRAM Freq.
- Ok here is where it get dicey but worth it! CL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS, tRC determine speed. mine originally showed 59 clocks for CL. it now at 36.

36 verse 59 is a big difference in the speed of the RAM and now when i play DCS i have no stutters at all. bear in mind this is on standard missions, but wow can i see the difference.

**Note** , when you change the CL…tRC you can go too low and the PC will not boot. you just have to go back into bio and readjust…be prepared.

The best way to start is to use google AI chat and ask what is the best setting in bios to change. it will break it out and give you help in picking the right setting for the chipset.

For eample my search was: What setting in Ai Tweaker do i need to make for my RAM to perform at 6400mz to stop stutters in DCS.

i then continued to ask next: what are the best CL, tRC settings?

it will give you a list of target and sweet spot numbers. remember too low your PC will not boot but you can still get to the bios to increase them.

My point here is i never knew about this and thought i was getting maximum performance out of the PC. i was wrong.

Here is what the difference was of this changes makes

Dropping your CAS Latency from **CL59** down to **CL34** at 6400MHz will make your RAM’s access response speed **73.5% faster** , cutting raw memory latency by **42.4%** (from **18.4 nanoseconds** down to **10.6 nanoseconds** ).

hopefully this helps
