You’re a woman??

No but clearly the industry needs a few more of them lol
@Davobkk I shared it in 2 German forums ! Good job !
It looks really interesting, I would definitely like to review it.
I just excitedly put it on and adjusted until lenses lined up nice. It’s really comfortable as it is. I don’t feel those tabs pressing in my head.
I will try swapping it over though.
The site looks great Davobkk…
I think Helio is right and you should add a section for testimonials from customers. Maybe you can add a few and put them somewhere on the home page. One minor thing also… the home page picture of the strap sits on a dark color platform that matches the strap itself. I think the platform should be different. A lighter color platform would make the strap itself standout better. But that’s minor… the site looks great. Great job!
Good work man, it really looks original and well made, for sure you should make it a new ones for Pimax.

@tomohm Thanks for the tip. Can you PM me a screenshot?
@grzvs defiantly plan to make a mod for the Pimax softstrap. Hopefully @tomohm can try his odyssey strap with his Pimax when he recieves it. Might just need a few changes
Can’t wait until I receive mine
thx @Davobkk
Like the site btw. It’s straight forward but stylish.
Those “user experiences” sections are great im general but not that much convincing in times where they often are made up. I suggest it along with people pictures holding their HMD with the mod attached to be convincing.
I want to make a review too. Please send me one.
Can set brightness for headset?
Hey @Davobkk, awesome!
I’ll stop calling you a Dj.Notnice now

Dj from Roseanne?

Thanks Trev. Any Odyssey owners interested can buy them through my web site now OR just PM me your delivery details
Also working on a great mod for the Pimax strap! Any tips from Pimax owners welcome!! What would you change about the soft strap for better comfort and adjustability?
A week of use and I’m loving my Od+ more and more, but still lamenting the lenses.
It’s a definite upgrade on the rift. Tracking of hmd is actually awesome. I’m having no problems whatsoever with tracking. The first time I went from my playspace to cockpit it told me it didn’t recognise the space and asked if I’d be playing seated/standing or wanted to set up another playspace. It hasn’t asked since and flawlessly knows when to turn on my chaperone boundaries and places them correctly. When I swapped out my flight gear for my car gear in my cockpit it asked if I could just look left, right and down. It noticed differences but also noticed it wasn’t a new space either. I’m super impressed with tracking. Having the lights turned up doesn’t bother me.
The panels, oh how I love thee. I didn’t think the colours were that bad in the rift, I didn’t mind that it wasn’t bright. Oh how wrong I was. I’m still smiling when I see the colours. The added detail really shines. Small things like scratches on windows catching the sun or the texture of old, needing to be redone, paint on some metal are just so much more present. And no screen door obscuring it all. The cloth trim and carbon fibre panels in car interiors is so much more real without screen door.
Comfort is pretty good with Davobkk strap. It’s been feeling great and easy to put on/off and adjust the eyes to the sweet spot. Last night I started feeling the uncomfortable forehead and thought oh no! It wasn’t the headache that it caused without the strap, but discomfort. Then I realised I’d been playing for four hours with only a drink and a pee break. I think I’ll be able to manage with only four hour sessions.
The only game that hasn’t just run was dirt rally but google told me how and it’s running now. Most games aren’t much of a hit performance wise with the increased res, but Dirt Rally was a significant hit…I’m thinking because it used Oculus rendering before but is now using Openvr rendering in an experimental build mode or the like.
If only I could swap the lenses for something made by Nikon or the like. Please VR manufacturers, accept lenses are really difficult but there’s people who are really good at them too.
Personally… i really dislike the strap that comes with the new Pimax units… my biggest complaint about it for me… the side straps. I think it’s because I needed to have it lower to make it comfortable but then those side straps were awfully annoying when I put my headphones on. I don’t know if that can be modified though. Honestly… the strap sucks!!! I think the straps on the 4K were better positioned or the fact that the 4K integrated the speakers directly on the straps. But I can’t use the 8K strap with headphones comfortably… hence I now own the VIVE DAS and I AIN’T going back!!! Except to try it out with your modified O+ strap. But I don’t think that will solve my side strap issue and headphones.
Yeah, same here, really loving the O+. I’m just really hoping that the Vive Cosmos will use this anti SDE tech, with double the res that should be simply amazing!!
Like @evertec noted, if a game has in-game SS and you crank that up to 200%, the result actually comes pretty close to the 5k+ (and I’m talking details in the distance here of course, since with objects nearby the O+ always easily wins). It makes a big difference anyway. Yet in some games the 5k+ just always is the easy winner, like in Skyrim, no matter what I try the 5k+ always looks the best. But in other games the O+ wins. And the great thing is that you don’t need to tweak anything, things just work. And tracking works amazingly well, in fact I’m now convinced inside-out tracking is the future and that future is here already, I like it better than the lighthouses already. No mess with HMD/LH’s detection, and I actually have less loss of tracking with my O+ than with my 5k+
Just test for 2 days.
- sde is good, but not wow (except you never try any vr headset).
- Already understand that why diagonal pixel can’t make image to have clarity. when looking to the game icon on steamvr, square is not square. Image is pixelated when try to look the face of character on The Great C (chapter 2 scene 1 when character stay at the fire camp.)
- Need to config rendering target 2.0 to make more clarity, buy still can’t beat the 5k+ (try serious sam 3) and performance is lower than 5k+ with pitool, when use same setting of 5k+, the lucky tale is jerky.
- far distance object is worse than 5k+.(serious sam the last hope stage 4.)
- fov is bigger than vive although specific at same 110, can compare by fruit ninja menu on title.
It great for watch movie and some game which you need more black.
Not sure why odyssey and vive pro look has more clarity.
May I need to test more on other pc because it look the headset has low brightness than odyssey and may get some effect because I adjust the brightness and contrast for vive last time. Already restore the setting for vive, but still can’t make the image look more appreciate when test by lucky tale.
received my OD+ a couple of days ago. Tried a couple of games but i am not impressed.
I simply can not go back to 110° FOV. no way…
My 8k has little more SDE, yes. BUT the FOV and the immersion is sooooo much better on Pimax…
Small chance…
1 Qualcomm démo headset did’nt seems to have this feature see mrtv video
2- it’s a lcd so from my own experiences with diffusion layer it reduces.contrast and is more a good match with an oled panel
