True, but I think that (yet again) this is probably a case of over-optimistic expectations. Pimax likely signed a contract months ago, with the plan of shipping the last backer headset in Nov. or even Apr. 2018. They could be forced to ship to the Korean business or suffer penalty clauses (and lose face).

I’m NOT making excuses for Pimax. I’m sharing what I think probably happened.

I totally agree this could be the case. The problem is intentions don’t matter in the end. I still support and will defend Pimax if needed.

Anyways, I’ve been tame with my advice, criticism, and feedback compared to 90% of the forums. This is what the forums are here for so I’ll continue to give my feedback when warranted. I’ve given Pimax benefit of the doubt and continue to. But unless you’ve been stung, it’s hard to feel frusturated. I found out this morning as backer #1618 (originally 245) and after following the production/delivery updates and this forum for a long time, that mine hasn’t been sent. They let me know the reason is because I didn’t confirm something, which I have. They’ve sent over 2200 units…
I really appreciate what you do for the forum and Pimax and look up to you as a leader, Helio, but you’ve had your headsets since the beginning. Maybe you should take your own advice, sit back, and have some empathy for the rest of us that have been stung. Frustration didn’t happen for me until this morning so I understand why others have been upset. Ok there’s my rant. I’m fine. Sorry for giving you crap but my ego got the best of me. Honestly, I’ve had a wonderful time with this forum and have spent way too much time on here but it’s too damn addicting.

No haven’t had since beginning. Declined headset during m1 testing & only participated in a supporting role.

I do empathize with those waiting. But with being on the first line of headsets being released & like most of the m1 test group have been fortunate with few issues.

Those in later release batches have potential for receiving headsets with fewer potential problems. Ie min 2 early backers seem to have received units with housing issues & we all know the 5k+ has had a lot of issues regarding panels.

And of course later batches received have benefit of maturer software & the help of earlier recipients’ to lien on where needed.

But yes were all excited to have headsets received not only for those to finally have & start enjoying but also to start see the other items & syretch goal items materialize & start shipping. Ie LHes & controllers (I don’t own Vive derivatives).

Some want pimax to offer LH v1.0 in place of waiting. I for one am not one of those as I would not expect pimax to offer swapping LH v1.0 units with v2.0 once available. If I choose to obtain v1.0 LHes they are still of use as a perm setup; where as v2.0 are better for on the go setup & take down.

Wirh less than 100 employees they are really not doing that bad when you consider some of the many horror stories of HTC & other big companies. Right now we are the important support system & while hard at times we also need to be at our best. With StarVR One’s overpriced point on the consumer side & potential collapse. Pimax is the only one staying in a reachable playing field. :beers::sunglasses::+1::sparkles:

If the tracking number I received today is correct and I get the package on time… the entire process (order plus delivery) will have took me 6 days… From South Korea to New York… WOW!!! But I’ve never had anything delivered by EMS… so we’ll see. If they’re as reliable as FedEx, I will be happy.
