Released this year?

Im voting for @Heliosurge and @Sjef

@deletedpimaxrep1 These guys would give you the best feedback before you finalise the product. You should consider paying travel costs for one of them to travel to the show? Even beter you should send them a prototype to try for a week!!

I would be very happy to test the prototype and give you a honest assessment.
If the prototype is same as what will be available for kickstarter then after evaluation if I’m happy with the prototype I would be happy to purchase it at a reasonable price.
However you would have to ship one to me in Australia.
Cheers, Luke

Someone should put an poll for nominees.

It’s very strange that Pimax would have so little prototypes.

It does not show confidence.

I’m not sure if Pimax is planning to send one of the prototypes out to forum users but yeah I’d definitely would be interested to try it and let people know what I think about it. I’d have no problem to wire you guys a deposit, sign NDA etc. Let me know if this is something you’d be interested in @deletedpimaxrep1

Pimax 8k interesting
solution and most importantly at the moment it is out of the competition
(of course if he does not have problems with both the 4K version at
start) but still personally I would have to wait for the version with 4K
OLED.
But still for prototypes 4k LCD screens are forgivable.
I would also like to see what the 8k Pimax can do with a wide viewing angle and tracking.

@deletedpimaxrep1 i also would consider doing a review of Pimax 8X, but i am in New Zealand and no where near any of your events so would need a device shipped to me. I can test it on GTX1060 6gb and Aourus GTX 1080ti 11gb. my pc specs should be on the thread asking for pc specs  it would be a unbiased review and can be submitted to Pimax directly.

regards

Eno.

Thanks for nominating! we will put the names of 8K reviewers to our roadshow plan next week, and discuss with the representatives the best ways to review.

My biggest problem with pimax 4k is the small nose room (literally hurts) and the lens, was this fixed in 8k model?

Hi Elo a simple nose fix; use peal n stick weather stripping foam

I use thicker padding. It solves the nose pain but since the eyes are also farther away, it also decreases the FOV.

Really hoping Pimax is working on a better fix, just some more space for non Asian noses in the 8k would be awesome

Indeed might be an idea to have adapter to interchange ti different fave profile.

I had that issue with the nose area in the first Pimax 4K I bought, but I bought a second one a month ago, and found they had redesigned the nose area (now the same as the Vive) and it’s VERY comfortable.

Proof of the better designed nose area:

I show the Pimax 4K and Vive in that vid.

I sold the first Pimax due to the VERY uncomfortable nose area and issues I had with reading text in games, plus the filters made some games too dark.

I’m hoping the issues I still have with the 4K will not exist in the 8K, and I really, really can’t wait till tomorrow - PIMAX 8K KICKSTARTER!!!
