Just got a tracking number from DPD some thing coming from Stoke , And I don’t think I have any thing else coming from DPD so hopefully its the Pimax.

I got the same DPD email and text. I see at 14:26 today it was in Stoke.

I wanted to say Helio can stand up for himself and doesn’t usually require censorship to get by.
A small not so consequential request for authoritarian censorship to have the perception of saving someone else doesn’t matter in this forum. As soon as you take that attitude outside it’s the instigator of pure evil.

But we also need to see the forums are starting to need to regain balance; even if it means stronger moderation. We have in the last while lost tge presence of good folks like George whom were a calming influence in the forum. Of which it is imho due to him recognizing this forum’s routine of becoming toxic get to him.
I don’t think at times folks supporting me; isn’t about choosing my side. As yes I can hold my own. But due to them feeling frustrated by what they see themselves. We need to get the forums bad to a family friendly place.
While I’d prefer to avoid time outs with folks taking a break on their own when needed. It is becoming apparent that at times it may need a push. With a forced time out.
There are valid reasons to have upset with the circumstances.
- Backers not considering Businesses backed & had agreements in place prior to kS.
- Backers headsets being used for replacements; prior to all having a headset.
- Pre Orders being received out of sequence regardless if Freight Forwarder IS the cause.
- Now Backers being upset: replacement process changed due to dishonest backers (even though number likely low)
The truth soon all backers should have headsets. Replacements will be looked after & support will improve. These are all inevitable. Pimax put too much into designing the headset & now are trying to catchup on everything else. They are a small company that needs to grow fast. And they will. But as Early Adopters that backed a Kickstarter, we need to realize they need us to help get them the rest of the way. To do that let’s end the need to constantly call things lies.
If we go by the first Backer headset shipped that was end of Sept 2018; 6 to 7 months of the Jan/Feb ship date. Now we are at the 1 year point of Feb date. For a Kickstarter that is very good overall. I am sure if they only spent the $200,000 on the headset, we would have had it no later than May. They spent $350,000 on 7 lens iterations. Almost twice what they aimed to raise.
Let’s start fresh & treat one another as per the community rules & guidelines.

Yeah I don’t mean people should be using personal attacks and I totally agree with the community pulling others in line when they do.
I really despise censorship though. People seem to forget the lessons of history. Censorship is always one person or group deciding they are so much better than another that they are entitled to control the other…and fail to see this in itself is evil, the opposite of being a good person.
Censorship is denying reality and truth…very dangerous indeed.
We can and should declare bad behaviour and pull people into line of community standards if they’re interacting with the community. We shouldn’t hide what has happened and pretend but deal with it.
It comes into my political stance of anarchy. People who wield power over you pretend their authority is the only reason you act civil and don’t become a murdering lunatic. And they are murdering lunatics. Now I am totally convinced that the reason I don’t murder my neighbours actually has nothing to do with another’s authority or threats. It’s actually my neighbours who will band together to protect each other against threats including those from our own government.
People need to band together and realise we’re generally more moral and better behaved people than our leaders.
Sorry if this was meant to be a family friendly forum. I am a member of them and act appropriate. I never took this one as family friendly and also acted appropriate to my perception. If we’re headed there I can change my communication.

The thing is; this is supposed to be a family friendly place & adults are keeping it from being that. Can’t expect pimax to be comfortable posting the truth if it’s always doubted & those that take the time to do so have their integrity constantly called into question.
We are better than this imho.

The simple thing is if we take time to organise our thoughts we can post without the need for censorship & still express our discontent of a situation or circumstance without descenting into vulgarity & hostility.
As for the family friendly side, unfortunately we have spun so often. It’s easy not to see there is no age requirement here.

Spoken like your chosen name. One needs to sometimes give the benefit of doubt instead of choosing the cynic road. Turn Right not left.
I don’t equate age requirement and family friendly, but you know I’m weird. If children are allowed to wander they will see their world, they will see truth. It’s not my job to deceive them or hide it from them. However it’s totally my job to respect the parents wishes of censorship around their child and not interfere with that.
I believe children should be told the truth always, and I have experienced reason around it. However I acknowledge most parents disagree and I believe I should respect that.
I tell my friends and family don’t leave your kids with me because I will tell them truth…and they know I will, completely uncensored. Under parental care I will hold my tongue but I won’t lie to them. Put them in my care and I’ll just start telling them truth.
The world is convinced a good person lies to children. Children who handle truth better than adults.
Don’t take this as me having a notion that I am a good person- I’m not that evil!

IMO I’ve been quite polite and honest with the potentially awkward question in Pimaxs point of view, got accused of spreading toxicity.
I have never offended any person in this forum, save a few vulgar outbursts that wasn’t addressed to anyone especially.
@Pimaxusa you might want to read this discussion.
