PSVR 2 Officially announced

You sold the psvr2? But what do we have on the pcvr?Besides the luke ross mods and Halflife…

But indeed we need content… I do like grand turismo7 and starwars somehow on the psvr2 even when i am used too highend pcvr

By the way call off the mountain did suffer from to much reprojection on the psvr2 its no blockbuster title for me… i like the other games better,i even like pavlov on the psvr2 with the haptick triggers and headset rumble.

i havent sold it ,just did a comfort mod on it beat re8 and never used it since,im not getting the star wars 50$ quest game, and i dont really like gt7 much i have it tho.

How is your mura?Even on bright scenes?

and yeah been playing cyberpunk today alot since the update its a treat on my 4090

Gonne try that again maybe i had the old mod still from luke ross

my mura is bad anywhere even at 50% brightness

okay same as me,is the ghosting less now on cyberpunk?

yeah with AER2,but really needs gpu juice to hold the fps up to eliminate it,still much better than hcotm

The lack of friction is really important. Been using a vive pro for the last few weeks and I love that it just works. Didn’t realise how much needing to fiddle with Pitool at launch put me off playing. Like it’s pretty trivial, works first time about half the time and the rest of the time usually just requires restarting pitool but it can be enough to put you off sometimes. Hopefully crystal will be better in that regard, I think with the inside out tracking it should be!

The inside out tracking has still his flaws… but its not bad on the psvr2,luckely better then on the hp reverb g2 v2 lol

Okay so reporting back after using the PSVR2 for a week. My biggest problem is the extremely small sweet spot and blury picture. If you have the lenses off even one touch it’s RGB heaven

The mura is there but nowhere near as bad as the lenses and blurriness. God rays too. MRTV’s talk about the picture looking “Super incredible” Is horse sh*t

I believe Sadly its Bradley confirmed its using pentile displays rather than strip matrix like the last set. It has even less sub pixels than PSVR 1. I just can’t believe sony couldn’t get this right after 5 years of development

Perhaps its a cost issue? Trying to jam the cheapest components into a consumer device? The truth will come out when apple launches their headset which is reported to have “expensive” next get OLED

Okay some reports after using it for a while now…
I do have problems with the mura,it destroys some games on the psvr2…

BUT i almost finished resident evil village on the psvr2 and it realy was a blast! i enjoyed it more then on my 8kx even with the higher field off view and better picture quality… The immersion and 3d was somehow far better on the psvr2…i dont know why…Also did i do some pavlov, and its suprisingly fun on the psvr2…

Also the starwars game is realy fun on the psvr2 because off the hdr and brightness and haptick feedback… The laser beams realy pop in the dark because off the brightness and the colors.

So i am gonne keep my psvr2 next to my highend pcvr setup…

Interesting…
But with such lower res and not many video cards (powerful) with the necessary port, it’s an edge case at this point. AMD still has this port? well, my 6900XT GPU doesn’t have the port. I guess maybe 7900XTX doesn’t too(has USB, but I don’t think it’s ‘virtuallink’)? Neither does 3000 or 4000 series?

I mean, if you LOVE SONY, then buy the adapter I guess, or step down to a nVidia 2000 series.

Interesting vid tho…

didn’t he say the latest amd cards have that port? i thought he did but could be wrong. he did say u could use an adapter for 3000/4000 cards but the adapter was “expensive”. they’d have alot of other things to sort out too like 6dof headtracking, eye tracking, and so on.

Gigabyte 7900 has usb-c

If Quest 2 outputs Virtual Link then why not attach that cable to the PSVR2 Virtual link cables with a cheap USB-C adapter. That way the Quest2 cable converts the signal back to USB C.
