Please can we rename the forum?

Currently there is a sub-forum called ‘Pimax 8K’ however it contains topics about both the 8K and the 5K.

Can we rename it to ‘Pimax 8K/5K’?

Either that or have 2 sub-forums?

Sorry if this has been requested before, could not find anything in a search.

Great idea!!

But who gets the fun task of moving aaaaallllll the 5K+ threads into the NEW 5K+ Catagory :beers::persevere::roll_eyes:

I’d prefer to have all in the same section called Pimax 5k/8k. Quite often the issues are applicable to both.

Agreed, it will probably be much easier to rename than have 2 specific forums/categories. And as @fennec says a lot of topics are related to both anyway.

I’m a member of a Honda motorcycle forum and there are 2 models of bike. When you create a post you are required to pick ‘Model A’, ‘Model B’ or ‘Both’ so people know which bike it is for. Maybe could do the same here if this forum allows it?

Hopefully though the forum Dev has it fixed so renaming Category doesn’t mess up the links.

For example in the past editing topic title would (maybe still does) breaks the links to said topic in other topics.

Now it could be added with the Tagging system that has been introduced.

Tagging sounds very promising. The ‘Pimax 8K’ forum/category (as it is now) is about to get very busy, very soon what with all the Kickstarter backers receiving their headsets and then pre-orders and retail in several weeks. :smile:

I’m sure some of those people will be confused where the 5K forum is…
