Playin 48hz 3D Files on Pimax

I have several 48Hz 3D movie files vbut cannot get them to play correctly on Pimax Play software - I am using the Crystal Light and have tried Bigscreen but that can’t handle the 48Hz playback - Any suggestions or guidance would be appreciated

Thanks

Have you tried free VR players like DeoVR, Play’A VR Player and Whirligig ?

I got some 90hz 4k AI-upscaled movies and they were played just fine.

In other thought, some 48hz 3D files are actually using frame-sequential to represent 3D, instead of regular Side-By-Side or Top-Bottom. They can only be played in certain 3D TVs. You might have those files and none of them will be played correctly in any of those VR players.

To play that kind of movies, you need to use ffmpeg to convert them back to side-by-side or top-bottom format 3D like below:

ffmpeg -i 3dmovie.mp4 –vf stereo3d=al:sbsl output.mp4

tried this command using ffmpeg and it didn’t work - tried more than once

It’s not about trying my command. It’s about what kind of 3D videos you actually have. My command is just giving a rough idea what to do if they are frame-sequential 3D.

So the bottom line is: are those videos side-by-side, top-and-bottom, or frame-sequential ?
