Well I know I’m not alone when becoming more and more frustrated with the Pimax promises on delivery times that come and go.
They have over $2k of our money and all we get is Youtube fanboys with their gifted headsets saying how great this headset is and we should buy it today, nothing better, fricking amazing, the best headset ever. And “Be patent they are shipping out orders now”.
I wish I could agree or dispute that, but I can’t because the March promised delivery date has been and gone now getting to the end of April, I’m still not even in production.
Their CS is total BS as are their promise of ship dates. I asked “OK if you can’t give me a ship date can you offer a date when my headset will go into production” ……….. Crickets
I mean how many backorders do they have?
Will I continue to wait? dunno I’m going to take another look at Big Screen Beyond, I thought Meganex but not with that zero-return policy,
I am sure it is a great headset, but this is getting to a point when you gotta ask is it worth it.
Couldn’t agree with this more! Pimax shouldn’t be taking money until units are ready to be sold. Makes me extremely nervous that they have thousands of my dollars and I have nothing to show for it. Am I a chump for giving my money to them?
If it’s any consolation, my Dream Air SLAM has updated from the pre-order status to delivery progress since last week; this order being placed since mid-February. I can assume that the bulk shipment is in transit overseas and arriving at the distribution warehouse. That update alone has already reinforced my own faith in Pimax.
But what do I know? I’m probably just a fanboy to some people.
Why even link that, 1 its useless and tells us nothing, 2 you know its not what people are asking for. Could it be argued that its technically an “order status“ sure, but it does not contain any useful detail about when we will get our headsets.
The blog tells a better story: https://au.pimax.com/blogs/blogs/april-24th-progress-update
This is the kind of update people have been asking for. Still a bit vague but its something. Would have been nice if a Pimax team member linked it in the various forums to raise awareness, not everyone looks at the blog Pimax.
TLDR:
“Dream Air: Production of all current orders is nearly complete. Most units are already on their way; the remaining tail end of current orders will arrive by end of May to early June. Note that warehouse transit alone takes 2–4 weeks.“ For new orders: Dream Air: order now for estimated delivery in early June.
Sure, technically you are correct, maybe I’m wrong but given the context of the conversation in this thread I don’t believe that’s the kind of order status they were looking for. In fact, what you linked is likely to just upset them as it is useless and provides no insight into when we might be receiving our orders.
Either way, Shazboticu has both now.
I totally agree that what I linked to was bordering on pointless but I can’t help that. It is the only “quick/visible” resource a customer has to check the status of their order (I’m currently just a waiting customer too).
Other options like contacting Support or Sales are just as “upsetting/frustrating” and marginally better in my experience because you get a pleasantly generic message (see below) with a timeline that appeases your curiosity/frustration at the time but eventually returns you to frustration anyway as the timeline almost always slips - particularly in the Pre-Order phase (where most complaints come from).
I’ve had 2 emails in the last 5 weeks so far stating the following:
First message was
We would like to provide you with an update on your OLED optical engine.
It is expected to complete production between the end of March and early April. Once production and quality inspection are finished, it will be prepared and shipped to the local warehouse.
We will keep you updated promptly on any further progress.
Thank you so much for your patience and understanding during the delivery period.…

The only “saving grace” for PiMax in my case is that I didn’t instigate the responses, these came out of the blue. Even if you ask Support/Sales you’ll get the generic messages I’ve shown.
Ultimately, nothing we can do or say will satiate our queries - it’s all in PiMax’s hands to be better at Customer Relations.
UK here, waiting for Dream Air LH. I was originally promised an update in late March / early April (not a delivery, mind) and didn’t hear anything, so checked in several days ago. Was told it had “nearly finished production”, so I figured, OK another 2-3 months then
But then a few days after that I got an update that it has completed production, had to confirm my address, and opted for direct delivery in 5-7 days. It’s not here until it’s here, but that was a pleasant surprise.
I’m on my 3rd Pimax headset since 2017 so I know the score by now, I just wait many months / year+ without an update, or with wildly over optimistic promises because the eventual end product is good imo and pushing in the areas I want PCVR to go.
How were you given the option to have it delivered directly? I’ve been waiting since June 2025 for the DA LH. My headset was in production in March and I’ve been informed by Pimax that it will take 2-3 weeks to get to the UK now, before it’s sent out to me.
Pimax Support asked me to choose from two options via email.
That said, I’ve had delays. Sat for over 5 days on hold at China customs, Pimax said don’t worry but delivery company said they sent it back to Pimax - seems to be May holiday issue. Pimax said they dealt with that, I got a new tracking number from the delivery company and it’s been progressing for a few days.
China → LA → UK delivery centres (arrived about an hour ago). It’s estimated to be delivered tomorrow, so seems to be on track.
