I love the big FOV that my Pimax 5k super offers, but after extensive uses I found that the pixel density matters too. Too often that the pixels in the graphics had become a distraction. And most of the time the wide FOV only marginally enhance the immersion feeling.

I agree. After shedding my glasses i have found the difference between even small and normal hard to discern, being able to get in so close to the lenses now. I now run almost exclusively in small and run the Pitool render at 1.5 or 2 and always at 144 Hz.
With the visual I get and the flawless Index ctrl tracking it still is quite a good experience, for a 5K+.

I really hope more companies could have stepped in and announced such headsets. Well, unfortunately those kind of headsets can be counted by your fingers: Varjo’s Aero, HTC Vive Pro 2, Shiftall MeganeX being the only 3 that are willing to take the resolution at or above 2500x2500 per eye.

• Varjo Aero is too expensive and they are offering similar specs like Crystal.
• Vive Pro 2 is at 25ppd, Fresnel lens and using DP 1.2 only (No HDR).
• Shiftall is more and more likely to become vaporware.
  Yeah, if the competitions are doing well, we should have seen Crystal’s price being more consumer friendly, but sadly they all suck.
