I just watched some videos on YT on C8 and it indeed looks like an interesting car, and I was surprised by the price. I am not sure though if 6.2L V8 is ever legal in EU. It looks like we are (following French example) going more into a direction of 1.0L 3-cylinder double turbo charged monsters
.
Europe is racing to achieve -1000 carbon emissions. So they are killing gas engines sadly.
Really envy you that S5 (!) My daily driver is a remapped 2015 A5 Coupe 1.8. Way too expensive to live out any car dream here in Norway
That might be the coolest bike I’ve seen…what is it? That’s really something!
I almost traded the Audi in on an Alfa Romeo Giulia. But I couldn’t get a Julia with a manual transmission; the auto maker doesn’t import them into Canada. So that put an end to that.
I think now I’m just going to wait until the Nissan 400 Z comes out. I tried a Subaru BRZ and I think it’s the best argument ever made for buying the new 400 Z from Nissan. The Subaru is a nice car to drive but the cockpit is spartan and it’s drastically under powered. They had a chance with the new model coming out to go for a supercharged engine or rather a turbo charged one and they opted not to do so. I don’t understand what they’re thinking. Especially the Toyota version. With 250 or 260 hp the Toyota 86And the BRZ would probably sell tens of thousands of units. But I guess it would make the Supra look bad in comparison.
If there is one thing I’m “jealous” of, it’s your crazy cheap car prices over there, both US and CA
. A brand new S5 in Norway would set you back over 110 000 USD, just for the base model… Our government hate cars !! On the flip side, I could purchase the Porsche Taycan for the same price, but who wants an EV anyway
On the flipside my ‘old school’ dream car is a BMW E3, and in the USA those fetch a pretty penny. Dirt cheap in Europe from what I’ve read! Still though… I paid 19k for a brand new honda hatchback and I’m definitely not complaining.
Thanks glad you like! It’s a first gen Super73 SG in European spec - so must be limited to 250W, but that’s still good for 25mph and 30-40 miles range when peddling. But personally I can do a 8-10 mile run on full charge and not lose any battery bars. Electric hybrid assist, still has pedals. Inspired by 70s Honda mini-bikes etc.
US versions have a motorbike style throttle to cut out peddling if you want, but that component is not road-legal in UK / Europe. Would class it as a motorbike instead of a bicycle. Great fun on all surfaces, I take it on tarmac, gravel, grass no problems anywhere. US defaults with slicks for touring, European ones with off road tyres.
The latest ones have huge amounts of updates, from lightweight frames, full gearing, and suspension, to integrated sat nav and anti-theft systems. But cost a lot more compared to the original starter price.
Mini bikes. I saw long ago now a french moped that folded in the center and gas moto powered the front wheel.
Stunning!

This one looks almost surreal
. It was a bit hard to figure out the make though, as I probably never saw one of its kind live (and probably never will
) .
Thank you, it’s a Lotus Elise. I’ve just modified the hell out of it.
That wrap is beautiful!
That’s a great look!
In this thread: Awesome looking cars!
But I don’t think I can afford to actually care about my car on top of VR, lol.
Lol, I’ve been expecting people to start chiming in with pictures of their junkers! For a lot of us, it’s VR or a car!
I’d be afraid to get near that Lotus: Razorub would probably get mad at me for drooling on it! Heck, I don’t think that I’ve ever even seen a car like that in person! I couldn’t imagine actually owning or driving one!
