Thing is i am working on a VR project and i would like to optimize it for the Pimax headsets but without 1 at hand things aren’t really moving forward. The sooner i get my headset the better. But i still wonder if they really send your headset out with that high backer number. mmhh. As i said my backer N° is 51xx and nothing in sight so far.

I don’t think so. Pimax produce ~4100 HMDs an he is backer no. 58xx
Interestung. Can really understand your need/desire to have. If you don’t mind is your project aimed at regular consumer or more enterprise market? 
Regular consumer and actually i don’t intent to sell it but make it free to use if someone likes it i don’t mind taking donations. 
But before that happens i first need to finish it.
Yeah its quite frustrating at the moment and i almost lost all interest in it because a while ago i heard Pimax is giving Units to devs so i asked them about it. At that time i just wanted to know if that really is the case and Matthew answered yes if one can provide the needed info that he is Developer.
Well i just wanted to know and don’t intended to skip the line but later the thing with Nathie happened and i thought yeah if they hand out Units as giveaways and as pointless as the 3 Units to Nathie why not ask them if Pimax wants to help a little Indie Dev who actually is also a backer and wants to build for their headsets.
So as Matthew said i send them all the info that i could share with them of my current and past projects minus the things i can’t talk about. But what happened next was they answered with a contradicting email and basically denied what Matthew weeks earlier confirmed to me.
After i responded with the PM from Matthew they came up with some other bogus excuses why it is not possible and that they are strickly sending via Backer numbers…
Well and then happened the Korean retail sale of Units 2C and at that point i was done with them.
I am sorry that i was pissed the last few days but this was brewing for a while and i kept my mouth shut but at that point i had enough.

Sounds great it’s not tge first time backers first thing has created developer issues.
Hopefully everything stays on track for end of the month.

True, they have produced 4100+ headsets, but not every backer number counts as a headset. Some cancelled before the Kickstarter ended; some only pledged $5 in support of KS. Of course other backers bought a 10-pack. Consider this: Pimax has shipped units up to backer # ~6078 (on 27th Dec).

Hint: I am backer so no nothing to do with that and Units turned up in none backer hands before and after my email. But i leave it at that now. Decision are made by Pimax and i drew my conclusion.
Can’t get much bumpier anyway but looks like the korean thread or in this case threat was a wake up call.
A lot of activity since so we will see if they deliver this time or if it goes back to business as usual.
Fingers crossed my Unit turns up at my door this month.

I alwais said in emails to wait and now i will have a headset that i dont want…
I dont no why you put in the kickstarter the option to wait if you will completely ignore it. very sad indead.
I will trade with you if they screw my order up but I’m not going to suggest to Pimax to do our swap because they can’t even keep one selection straight I can’t imagine how badly they would screw up our special request.
@burstingtops you leave where? could be easier if pimax could do the swap between us if they do the thing right if not we could try to swap but i dont know what costs will have to send to you and vice versa. @anon74848233 its possible to swap with @burstingtops? can you give an answer please?

I’m in Canada and you are Portugal so it’s not too terrible. Honestly I would love to swap with you but good luck getting Pimax attention on this.
