Pimax completes nearly $30M Series C1 funding to further push the boundaries of Virtual-Reality

it only gets uncomfortable when every investor says in which direction it should go. as long as the amounts collected don’t get smaller, I’m not worried.

Sorry guys, got to leave, ran out of popcorn. No need to wait for me, may be a day or two before I return… coming to think of it, maybe it will be rather 12 years before I show up in this thread again…

I hope this isn’t Amiga all over again. Great product - exceeds the entire industry, but as a pro-sumer market is too small, they languish and get surpassed by the mainstream. In that regard, I hope they smash it outta the park with the 12K and get such a foothold that they can sell a new low-mid-range wide FOV at a nice profit. Something like the 8KX but with local dimming and all the wonderful Reality series features (once they work). With Meta, MS, HP all pulling back or out - I think there is an opening for PCVR.

Given the current velocity of things at PIMAX, it would seem a safe bet to think the Crystal will be in a finalized state (with all intended features working/proven) by 4th quarter 2023.
The 12K will be sometime mid-late 2024. That’s being optimistic.
