Quite understandable. Sharing headsets would be a very risky business in these times.
@Sweviver: can you please check & make sure that what-ever the plan & schedule is, the 400 8KX backers will be informed WELL IN ADVANCE about the return procedure regarding the loaner units ?
It would be quite obvious if we are not being allowed to retrun them despite asking for it many times and then are told that others may receive their 8KX sooner than us because we did not return the loaner units on time. Nobody would be willing to accept such an excuse, as it would be just too obvious that that would have not been a mere coincidence…
Agreed there is 0 reason if an X Backer wants to return the loaner now and wait for delivery of the 8kX.
Just spoken to the team. They are currently finishing up the return-label system directly in the shop. It will be available very soon, and when you request the label in the shop, it will be sent to you through email.
How about the whole backer upgrade program? What’s the extended deadline?
I personally wanted to wait for my Kickstarter 8K-X before using the upgrade program for my other headset (it’s a lot of money after all), so it’d be great if the program stayed open for a while.
Yup. It’s still getting worse… even accelerating. As of today we have 190 confirmed cases in Sweden and we’ll see that number grow every day for the foreseeable future.
And it’s not much different in other countries. I have three trips planned during the year and I have my finger ready on the cancel button. Still waiting and observing, but indeed prepared to cancel.
Bringing the virus home to the family and who knows who else wouldn’t be something I’d want on my conscience.
Yeah demo’ing headsets with this going on is probably not the best idea but then again; someone who has the flu could also spread it, or whatever other virusses are around… But yeah, fair enough

Any news on this being completed ? Where in the shop do we have to look for the label ?
