Okay here is my sort off review off the pimax dream air.. I did say i would write this after i modded the pimax dream air(like i have to do with every VR headset) I had almost every VR headset(started with the gear VR lol) After that oculus rift,htc vive and pro,samsung odyssey and plus .Almost every pimax VR headset like the artisan,8K,8kx,crystal etc,Varjo Vr3,Star VR one Meganex8k etc.. First off all the screens and lenses are great.. They do suffer from glare like the meganex But ingame i forget it.. The sharpness and colors are the best i have seen from all vr headsets..A big win! But The comfort is a big letdown with the orginal Face gasked it realy hurts..But after the 3d printed gasked from zeeflyboy its much better. The FOV for my faceshape could be better,but the clarity across my view makes up for it..One thing the meganex8k was better was at 72 HZ because i can see slightly a flicker on the image with the dreamair i didnt see that on the meganex(but it is very slight)By the way i have the lighthouse version and the tracking is far better then the meganex8k MK1 (thats the version i had) Also the dream air is slightly brighter and the clarity helps with that..Also the sound coming from the pimax dreamair suprised me,its realy not bad and very nice tuned for these tiny speakers in those arms..Performance wise i use pimax evo with the sboys driver(man this guy deserve a big bonus what he did for the Meganex and the pimax headsets) So i will give this pimax dream air almost a must buy i think.At the moment nothing comes close(and that i say this about pimax says alot) So if they fix the comfort and you like highend visuals,get it!But keep in mind there is glare !

Just had Dream Air SLAM last Thursday to hopefully upstage my extremely sharp and very well set up Crystal light for MSFS 2024 though I doubted it would but knew I could return it.
First look at the screens blew my PCL away and I knew it wasn’t going anywhere.
My friend has the Super OLED but the DA is better as it renders much less pixels than the Super.
My DA actually renders slightly less pixels than my Crystal Light.
Hey @john2910 nice to see you bought the dream air. I’m still using my Galaxy XR, which shares the same display panels as the Dream Air, best I’ve ever seen indeed!
That being said, I’m looking forward to pico’s upcoming headset. Several things I hate about the galaxy XR like the comfort and weak chipset: it heats up quickly and then starts to thermo throttle, so downgrading the render resolution, which of course s*cks.. So I’m definitely keeping an eye on the upcoming Pico since this might solve all the issues, especially due to their inhouse developed chipset which supposedly is way faster than the one in my XR. Just hoping Pico is going to deliver on the lenses.
Pimax seems also to have delivered a really nice headset with the Dream Air, just like you’re saying, but I’ve really come to like wireless headsets and dont think I’ll ever go back to cables. A few years ago I thought I’d never prefer wireless but, it’s just so nice not to worry about cables.
But I’m happy Pimax has become serious. I think all their previous headsets had several downsides, mostly in the optics departement and honestly, in the end, most were quite bad. So I’m really happy Pimax seems to have turned things around and has delivered a great headset!
