I feel that the black dots is less than the old headset, I am not sure because the display or lenses. That is reason why some poeple not get distract by these dots. They are still available, but more blurry. The face pad may thicker than old, so will check for sure.
I have to paid duty for next replacement again and shipping 2 headset back soon.
I think that you have to check again and again that the replacement will be the best one.
I wlll shoot video soon and test again to confirm about black dots.
I hope that the new replacement will not found these issue again, I still feel better if the black dots pixel not be big issue on every headset. If next replacement don’t have dead pixel, but has more the black dot, this will make me more seriously because the black dots always annoy in some game so much.

Sorry to hear that your replacement headset has problems . Do you still have your first headset ? If you do try changing the cable with your original one to see if that stops the flashing pixels.
This is really bad news. To think they still have these same issues are ridiculous. Now either this is qc issue or bad packaging issue. During transit the box is being tossed and thrown everywhere.
I don’t have to fix about firmware, but sometimes the PiTool show Not connected although the device can work normally.
About black dots, I try to remove face pad and move eyes closed to the lenses, it still can’t see the black dots. This is very great if someone not see the black dots too.
I try Lucky tale to check and can’t find the black dot anymore, image look very better than the old headset so much.
I will try update from pitool 91 to 95 to check later.
It is very fit, still can’t unplug, lol.
I afraid that the headset will be broken before I can unplug it, or may the cable will be broken. Have to try it again.
When I return the 2 headsets, may pimax have a chance the test both headset why another one has more black dots.
Pimax should investigate by these step.
Swap the lenses.
If swap the lenses between each headset and can see more black dots on new headset, may the lenses are different.
If the result still be same, it is about quality of display.
I still not sure that bad cable is a factor or not.
Update to new firmware and Pitool, no any black dot.
But feel more dizzy, not sure because low refresh rate or smell of new face pad, need to try to fix flashing dot before.
Unfortunately about dead pixel so much, I have to risk about black dot again, but I will wait to see other 2 headset of my friend before to be sure that this black dots issue is fixed already.
Other issue, volume ajust always appeared sometimes, not sure what happened.
