Indeed. Not using all of the lense available but most of the Panel vs the 5k+.
Not the highest. Just perhaps more than the 5k+ as reviewers whom have experienced both have said.
The Artisan seems clearer than the 5k+
Hi, nope, it’s bigger than the old Reverb. It close to Index when you put the lenses of the Index far away from the eyes.
Ok, thanks, Sebastian!
I am sure my Reverb G2 review will bring you squarely back to #teamMRTV
Actually we are playing in different teams
You are in HP team, I am playing with Pimax
Nah he is on the #teammrtv. Independent reviewer whom has a place where folks can try out headsets pimax and all.
@fabrizio doesn’t believe that. He seems to be convinced that MRTV got angry at Pimax and therefore changed his review of the 8k-X for the worse, totally throwing away his objectivity, his name and his main reason for existence as a neutral reviewer. And in Fabrizio’s mind, MRTV did all that just because he was angry. And there’s nothing you can say to change his mind.
As far as I can tell MRTV is Team Whoever offers “HIM” the best VR experience, and just because it is “HIS” Opinion doesn’t mean it will be the best for “YOU”.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, we are not sheep, make up your own mind.
I have 5k+ and Artisan (blue housing). The SDE is similar on both, but more noticeable on the Artisan, the pixels on the Artisan are very large, horizontally. On the 5k+ they are simple dots
I can’t imagine compared to the 8KX or 8K+
If you are an indipendent reviewer
Now you stop your Reverb G2 (P)Review
and you put 2 short 4K video of Pimax 8K X on MRTV
Xplane 11 and Half-Life: Alyx
Moving camera slowly
and writing what is changed in the final 8K X
It’s his channel he can do what he wants.
There will be positive press about the X and it might come from other people.
Why would he make a video about a preproduction model 8k-X when the final 8k-X is already out? I don’t think that would make any sense, more so since according to Pimax the picture quality improved since that pre production model
Also G2 is not final
No, but nobody has one, so that’s interesting info. Unlike an ‘old’ version of the 8k-x
What if I put up a through the lens video of the exact same scene in Alyx with the Preproduction 8KX, using exactly the same recording equipment I used for the G2 but it wouldn’t look as impressive as the Preproduction G2 (at all)? Would you be angry at me?
Just compare final vs final
I would be really surprised if the 8kx was as good as the g2
Hp spent a whole generation pretty much improving everything that was wrong with the first version.
If they went with base station tracked I would buy it, but as I want to use my next headset on my yawvr with motion cancellation. It’s a no go. But it looks like a great headset otherwise.
Best we can hope is the 8kx is close to it & imo that would be good enough
I think it is a misconception of over focusing on one part of @mixedrealityTV’s review. Overall he has given the 8kX a very nice review with high praise save for a couple of items that may or may not be an issue depending on the person. Of which is important vs just releasing a bubblegum review.
For one if the Reverb G2 has enough pluses could see owning one. As it is portable. Run it on a laptop with no other hardware needed.
Lighthouse tracking is great but not really portable as you need stands and a power plug for each lighthouse. And tbh lighthouse tracking in that respect is not really plug n play even with v2 lighthouses which are easier to setup.
You have to work harder
In my hands audio Smas will work
