Pimax there is so much you can do to make the buttons on the dream air and other headset better.
so i think you have a volumn -,+ and maybe a middle press. this is three different functions.
You also have a power button.
Now if you did like Quest 3, you could make a long press on the power button pull up a menu. in that menu you have “power off”, “eye tracking calibrate” , and more. you could also make it press and hold long, or quick press . so much you can do to get more functions and make it easier on us.
on the volumns buttons. these could be used to move up/down the menu that the power button popped up. the middle volumn button could be the select, or you use the power button quick tap again.
based on what menu you are in, the volumn buttons can navigate or perform a function.
as a avid PCVR flight sim guy, i need a quick way to start the flight sim, calibrate the eye tracking for different players, recenter the headset when the SLAM loses its position, and turn the volumn up and down. if you are not in a menu, the volumn buttons can still be for volumn.
please think about this as it will make it much better for us users. i could map out some futhure ideas if you want.
just thought to add, the buttons could used to set the IPD too
