Just upgraded PiPlay from 1.44.x to 2.0.2.x - missing the Games tab now, why is this?

Any suggestions? @PimaxQuorra?

Thanks :folded_hands:t4:

I want to check the Common Settings option, because that’s one I need for Star Citizen configuration. It has a Launcher with EAC, so to date it cannot have a dedicated profile that works.

I can see that I can click on three dots for detected applications in the App Library, but that won’t work in this case. I need access to Common Settings. Dream Air LH.

It never left.. just PP 2.0 UI was OVERLY compressed and everything is really cramped together. which is stupid in my opinion.
See below screenshot of where to find it now to customise per game. (this can also be done from the library now too.. Mostly..)

Also ensure you turn on “Advanced Settings” on the bottom left.. otherwise some crucial settings are hidden. some of which shouldnt be..

Ah thanks, but I don’t see Common Settings in the dropdown? I need Common Settings, adding SC as an app doesn’t work.

define “common settings”? what specifically are you looking for? as 2.0 everything has been moved around and renamed

Common Settings was the default application profile. This would apply to any application that didn’t have its own profile, and has been there for all PiPlay builds until 2.x. I would expect it to be an option from the profile dropdown. So even if you have never configured any application profiles before, that one should exist by default.

If it’s not available any more, I might have to revert and stick to 1.44, because that’s currently the one I need the most.

Ohhh.. that.. thats just Image/performance now.. whatever is set in there for graphics is what games will take by default if they..
A. Dont have their own dedicated profile.
B. werent launched using said profile.

Ah right, yes OK I see. That makes sense, thanks! :folded_hands:t4:

Yeah… the whole 2.0 UI redesign + VERY HEAVY compression of settings is not a good combo. I very much dislike how its been developed with settings being stuffed with other stuff, making it less clear on what is where.

It all speaks very AI made to me. and not properly thought out

Argggh damn, just tried SC VR with PiPlay 2.0.2 and the FW 1.0.3 it updated to, and now it’s trashed. The horizontal FOV is ultra narrow no matter what (vertical is much wider so i’ve got an upright rectangular view) and Smart Smoothing is now full of artefacts so it’s unusable. AND every time I start PiPlay I get the room setup popup again, even through I’ve already finished the setup. Why Pimax why. I had a bad feeling I’d regret upgrading, everything was working fine on 1.44:angry:

I guess I can try and clean reinstall 2.0.2, and if no luck I can try to reinstall 1.44. If that doesn’t work I’ll have to go to Support and pray they haven’t trashed the DA

Should have stuck to the golden rule. If it’s working well, don’t install new Pimax stuff

OK I reverted to 1.44 as that’s the exe I had and everything is back to normal, including Smart Smoothing. Phew. Maybe 2.0.2 will work with the clean install option ticked, but will worry about that later. Grrrr.
