Dream Air SLAM Screen Blackouts

I’ve been dealing with blackouts on the Dream Air SLAM since the latest firmware update + the latest Nvidia driver update. At the moment, I don’t believe it’s related to my cable at all, nor do I think it’s related to any USB issues. This was also never a problem on my previous Pimax headsets, such as the Super 50PPD which also demanded a higher resolution than the DA.

Has anyone found a recent Nvidia driver that works with the DA and doesn’t cause constant screen blackouts? I’m not interested in rolling back to something that’s months and months old, so please don’t suggest an ancient version. The keyword here is recent.

so i was having this issue with mine. here is what i did to fix it.

in the RegEditor find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Khronos\ and delete that folder.

this is what is telling the headset to run OpenXR. Once you delete that open PimaxPlay and reset the OpenXR to PimaxXR

once i did that the screens started working again
