Can we get an update on the ship date? If it gets delayed, it's better to know earlier

Not when Pimax says it’s production capability is 2000 to 4000 units a month.

Where exactly does Pimax say that? You also need to keep in mind that Pimax talked about having inventory to cover the Kickstarter but then would have to re-order supply. They said that in Kickstarter.

Can’t find it right now. I’m pretty sure it’s was stated in these forum threads, but this is not the tidiest of places to find it in. I came across it twice, so I’ll post it if I come across it again.
I thinking they start shipments late (like February) and this get them closer to the April controller delivery (assuming they are on time). I though, I also read a recent statement that they had the parts inventory to make all the pledges but I could be wrong on that one.
All this is guesswork anyway and as I said the early birds will get the kinks out. If their is further delay due to needing additional parts that’s ok too.

I just hope they will NOT ship an unfinished bugged product. I’d rather have them take the time to deliver a flawless device.

I’m with you on preferring to wait than get a buggy product, but I’m still hoping that they will deliver at least quality hardware in January, as they promised when they took our money.

Looking at the existing generally good reviews from people who have already tried earlier prototypes, and the progress on an even newer prototype, it seems Pimax have been already close to a high-quality final product design for quite a while, so the last prototype iteration should just be small/cosmetic improvements.

It seems to me that the real risk for any delays would be more around bad planning/preparation/delays around production and shipping than anything to do with still developing the hardware design itself.
I’m sure they would ship the hardware out even without having the software finalized, because software can be updated with just a new download.
