Can pimax give more details on using the thumbstick controller?

I just get detail about control movement in fallout4 vr from my friend.

Vive will use touching on trackpad for walking and pressing trackpad for running. (I have ever try to find the game which use controller like this). Don’t know for oculus.

So, how pimax will emulate stick and button for touching and pressing on trackpad of vive controller?

My friend just update steamvr to be beta and they can use stick of windows mixed reality controller for fallout4 vr right now.

This is change.

  1. Left stick is for walking
  2. Grab is for on/off running (old is lighting).
  3. trigger is for lighting (old is jumping).
  4. Right stick is for jumping (tilt up the stick).

@DKruohuo you have ever shoot the video of fallout4 vr and may know about this.

If anyone play fallout4 vr on oculus, please tell the controller and compare with pimax stick please.
Thank you.

I have been using Oculus Touch (sticks) with Fallout 4 VR for 3 months. OpenVR-InputEmulator allows the same setup as Steam beta. Unless Bethesda (they don’t like Oculus) does something for stick support directly the trackpads are the best at controlling certain things in the game. Don’t let that bother you though if you prefer sticks in general. I have been playing FO4VR more than anything since I got it and once you get the hang of working the pip boy and weapons wheel it actual works quite well. just not perfect. As one who play a few Steam games with controllers, I still prefer sticks over touchpads myself. ymmv

Have to use the openvr-inputEmulator and still no official driver?

I just noticed, I missed the last patch (April Beta 1.2.66) which apparently now supports Touch. edit: Just found it. Had to opt into Fallout 4 VR beta.
I guess Bethesda realized it was foolish to exclude the “majority” pc vr headset" from playing. Big bucks.
