Perhaps it’d be a good idea to let the testers know what and why they have received.
If my mem serves I think @VoodooDE received some random stuff from Pimax, had no idea why or what to do with it.

Pimax: Sends non-final 8KXs without explanations to Youtubers and then asks them to re-edit their content afterwards

As a tester doesn’t need to sign one per device (though redundancies are a good backup). Just sign one as a tester is really all that is needed and the units clearly identified as test units vs review units.

The NDA covers all devices and all future products, as long as the NDA is active.

We have discussed this already. The samples sent are not for Review. If we wanted a review we could have sent one to Linus a d Tested already. Which we haven’t.
Its not about being afraid. Its about following a proper business model. Have u ever seen a pre-production “review” of Valve Index or HTC Vive?

It is about developing proper procedures much like what we are attempting to do with proper communication channels to avoid unnecessary issues of the past by providing proper communication vs improv interviews that were not planned for.

The question is. Why do YOU want a review of a pre-production unit, with possible problems, if you never will see that version in your hands anyway? Once it reaches your hands, it will be the final unit that could have fundamental improvements.

True in the past things have been quite chaotic. But past mistakes are simply opportunities to learn from if utilized properly.

Great to have another “tester” to do videos like sh*t. To make more Pimax and channel PR than before.
In 8k developer times the testers had a silent conversation and no puplic statement were presented and every backer was suposed to wait and hope their best to get a good product. But then most videos of you were PR and not the real result untill the backer came to their own conclusion that the pimax products were good but not perfect. AND ME… I was shut down by YOU @SweViver just with a simple respond to hold my breath and forget my unreceived Pimax 8k loaner. You told me to wait untill the close release of pimax 8kx which should be soon. You told me that you will inform me more about the coming 8kx and i could be one of the first on the list…
But now since then nothing happend. I even got no chance to test out the allmost final product which could be a real review and not a sponsored one like before…Instead of that the same la di da happend like before.

These were pre-production units. It was also a mistake made hy the Shanghai side. It was 75Hz units for testing and initial impressions. Not for reviews, which Tyriel also was aware of.

You mean for the test sample as was the mistake due to improper and incomplete communication that happened with Voodoodx.
