5k+ no sound with direct connection

If I try to use the connection port an the headset, I have got no sound.
The only way is to use the connection port at my computer.

Of course, I make appropriate settings on the Steam software.
Any ideas?

In the PiTool options there is an option in HMD settings to use pimax headphones. Also ensure they the audio device in your control panel is pimax also

You might need to use Windows sound settings to switch. It shows as usb audio.

What kind of PiTool version are you using? I´m using 1.0.1.84.
There is no option in HMD to use pimax headphones.

i am using v1.0.1.90 but the option is on the version you are using too.

In Pitool. click Settings, then on the left click HMD - one of the top options is “Pimax as a default output audio”

it is a tick box so if you don’t want pimax to be the default audio device untick it.
