Sometimes a simple EDID override can add 4:2:0 modes and it “just works”. Often it doesn’t, though.

Remember the scaler is switchable. So in Theory might be able to hit 120hz with tricks maybe similar to how they have with the 5k+ or as mentioned with the kickstarter advertised BW.

I vaguely recall Kevin saying something about using chroma subsampling or something similar for the 8K-X (could have been in regards to wireless module).
Seems like the smart thing to do in this case is @ the appropriate Pimax employee.
